How the Application Process Works
1. Apply
Tell us about your military experience, transition timing, career interests and program preferences.
2. Review Your Offer
If eligible, you will receive an offer based on your transition timing, program fit and cohort availability. Whenever possible, we will offer your first or second choice—or the next appropriate option.
3. Accept and Enroll
Review your placement and accept the cohort that works for you. Once you accept, you are enrolled and will receive orientation and program information.
Before You Begin
The application should take approximately 3 minutes. Be prepared to provide:
- Your military background and transition timeline.
- Your current and anticipated employment location.
- Your preferred term, format and up to two cohort choices.
- Your education, career interests and professional goals.
- An optional résumé or LinkedIn profile.
- Your commitment to participate in the full program.
Submitting an application does not confirm enrollment. FourBlock will review your information and offer the program placement that best aligns with your eligibility, timing, preferences and available cohorts.
If your application requires additional review, a FourBlock program leader may contact you for a brief conversation.

Why Veterans Choose FourBlock
Built for Veterans Ready to Move Forward
FourBlock is for veterans who are serious about what comes next.
Not a webinar. Not a job board. Not a one-day workshop.
It’s a structured program where veterans commit to the process, work alongside peers, and engage directly with employers to build a real path forward.
Frequently Asked Questions
The VCRP is a structured, cohort-based program designed for veterans who are ready to actively engage in their transition.
Participants commit time, show up consistently, and work alongside peers and employers to gain clarity about industries, roles, and long-term career direction.
This is not:
- A one-time workshop
- A passive webinar
- A job board or quick placement service
It is a program for people ready to invest in themselves and take their next chapter seriously.
VCRP is one entry point into the broader FourBlock ecosystem. Participants are not just completing a program; they are joining a national community built to support career mobility over time. From Industry Pathways Events and employer engagement to alumni chapters, coaching, and AI-enabled career tools, the experience continues well beyond the cohort itself.
For those who engage fully, FourBlock becomes a professional home base: a network, a learning platform, and a community that evolves alongside their career. This program is for people ready to invest in themselves, contribute to others, and approach their next chapter with seriousness, purpose, and support.
FourBlock offers both in-person and virtual cohorts so veterans and military spouses can participate wherever they are in their transition.
In-person cohorts are hosted in select U.S. metro areas and occasionally on military installations or university campuses. These cohorts allow participants to meet face-to-face with employers, instructors, and fellow veterans while building local professional networks.
Virtual cohorts bring together veterans from across the country—and around the world—through live online sessions. Virtual participants engage directly with employers, instructors, and peers in the same structured program format, with cohorts organized to accommodate multiple U.S. time zones.
Both formats provide the same core FourBlock experience:
- Direct engagement with employers
- Industry exploration and career insight
- Structured cohort learning with fellow veterans
- Access to the FourBlock national alumni network
Employers support specific cohort locations based on their hiring presence and community engagement in those regions.
The career readiness porgram is designed for transitioning service members, veterans, student veterans and military spouses who:
- Are exploring what comes next after service
- Want more than transactional networking
- Care about long-term career growth
- Value community and accountability
- Are ready to engage, not observe
If that sounds like you, this is the right starting point.
The FourBlock experience is a connected career mobility ecosystem designed to support veterans and military spouses before, during, and long after their transition into civilian careers. It is not a single program or event, but a relationship-driven model built around clarity, accountability, and long-term growth.
Through FourBlock, participants gain access to:
- Veteran Career Readiness Programs
Structured, employer-aligned cohort experiences offered in both in-person and virtual formats, designed to help participants translate military experience into meaningful civilian careers with confidence and intention. - Industry Pathways Events
Live virtual sessions that provide direct exposure to high-growth industries, employer leaders, and real career pathways, helping participants understand how industries actually work before committing to a role. - Career Coaches & Mentors
Experienced volunteer coaches and industry professionals who provide guidance, feedback, and accountability throughout the transition process. - Alumni Network & Local Chapters
A lifelong professional community that extends beyond the first job, offering continued mentorship, leadership opportunities, peer support, and regional engagement across the country. - Campus & Early-Transition Engagement
Support for student veterans and early-career service members, embedding career readiness, employer exposure, and community connection earlier in the transition journey. - AI-Enabled Career Education Tools
Personalized, self-paced digital tools that reinforce learning, provide industry exploration, and maintain continuity of support regardless of location or schedule. - Community That Lasts
A national network rooted in shared experience, service, and accountability, where relationships compound over time and career mobility continues well beyond program completion.
Together, these elements form the FourBlock ecosystem, pairing data and humanity to create real, measurable outcomes while ensuring no veteran navigates transition alone.
FourBlock cohorts are offered during the spring and fall program terms, with specific dates varying by location.
In person: Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Colorado, National Capital Region, New York City, San Antonio, Seattle and Tampa.
On base: Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
Virtual: Central, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Northeast, Southeast, West, Dallas–Fort Worth and Texas.
Targeted programs: Military Spouse Career Readiness Program and Global Veteran Program.
Applicants select their preferred term, format and location during the application process. Final cohort placement is based on eligibility, availability and program fit.
The Veteran Career Readiness Program is a ten-week experience that combines career readiness curriculum, coaching, networking, and direct employer engagement. Participants move through a structured learning journey focused on translating military experience into civilian opportunity while building the skills, confidence, and connections needed for long-term career success.
The curriculum is designed around FourBlock's Core Six outcomes: Clarity, Confidence, Community, Career Readiness, Career Mobility, and Economic Mobility.
Participants develop a deeper understanding of their strengths, values, and career interests while building practical skills in networking, personal branding, interviewing, salary negotiation, and professional relationship building. The goal is not simply to prepare for a job search, but to prepare for a successful civilian career.
The program runs for ten weeks and combines weekly classroom sessions, networking opportunities, employer engagement, and independent career development activities.
Participants should expect to invest several hours each week both inside and outside of class as they build relationships, engage with employer partners, and work toward their career goals.
FourBlock is an employer-embedded career readiness program.
Throughout the semester, participants engage directly with professionals, hiring leaders, and executives from leading companies across a variety of industries. Rather than learning about careers in theory, participants gain firsthand insight into industries, career pathways, and workplace cultures while expanding their professional network.
In addition to the weekly curriculum, participants gain access to FourBlock's broader career readiness ecosystem. Throughout the semester, you'll have opportunities to attend Industry Pathways Events, engage with employer partners, connect with alumni, and participate in local networking and community Meetups.
These experiences provide valuable exposure to different industries, career paths, and employers while helping you expand your professional network beyond the classroom. Whether you're exploring career options, building relationships, or seeking industry-specific insights, these opportunities are designed to support your transition and long-term career growth.
Graduation is the beginning of your FourBlock journey, not the end.
Participants join a national alumni community of thousands of veterans and military spouses and gain continued access to networking opportunities, Industry Pathways Events, employer engagement opportunities, local Meetup events, and professional development resources.
The goal is to create lasting community and career mobility that extends well beyond the ten-week program experience.
Yes! We have a program for you. FourBlock’s Military Spouse Career Mobility Program is a free, 10-week virtual experience that helps military spouses gain career clarity, communicate their value, build professional connections, and create a practical plan for what comes next.
