Over ten weeks, participants engage in a structured career development experience designed to help them:
- Identify strengths, interests, and career goals
- Build confidence and professional self-awareness
- Translate life and leadership experiences into workplace value
- Develop a targeted resume, LinkedIn profile, and professional brand
- Strengthen networking, interviewing, and negotiation skills
- Explore meaningful career pathways aligned with their goals
Built for Your Life
This is not a veteran career readiness program adapted for spouses. It is a dedicated experience designed around the realities military spouses face and the strengths they bring. Military spouses develop resilience, adaptability, leadership, and problem-solving skills through years of supporting military service. Those experiences have value. FourBlock helps participants recognize that value, articulate it with confidence, and connect it to opportunity.
- The program is offered three times a year – in January, April, and September – entirely free of charge to participants and made possible by FourBlock's generous corporate sponsors.
- Each cohort is intentionally small – just 12 participants – to ensure a close-knit, high-touch experience. The program runs for ten weeks, requires roughly six to eight hours of work per week.
- Serves active-duty, Guard, Reserve, and recently retired military spouses (<10 years post-service) from all service branches, anywhere in the world.
Designed for the Reality of Military Spouse Careers
The FourBlock Military Spouse Career Readiness Program is a ten-week career development experience designed specifically for military spouses.Wherever you are in your career journey, these four phases are designed to help you reconnect with your strengths, clarify your direction, and confidently move forward.
- Reclaim: Opens with two weeks of reflective work. You will explore your values, strengths, interests, and skills using a variety of assessments, all with the goal of rediscovering and clearly defining who you are right now, not who you were before military life reshaped you.
- Refine: Examines where you are headed and what gets in the way. In this phase, you will examine negative mindsets and internal saboteurs and learn how to set healthy boundaries and build confidence – the important personal work that underlies any successful career transition.
- Relaunch: This is where you will build and sharpen your professional presence. You’ll craft their personal brand and learn to tell your story clearly and convincingly – on paper through a targeted resumé, online through a polished LinkedIn profile, and in person through a memorable elevator pitch and effective networking, interviewing, and negotiating.
- Review & Refresh: Closes the program with two weeks of live practice, real-time feedback, and future planning. You will rehearse your elevator pitch, answer mock interview questions, and create a concrete vision for the months to come.
