Thank you for opening your network to FourBlock. Every referral is reviewed, attributed and routed to the team best equipped to take the next step.

1. We Confirm Your Referral

You will receive confirmation that your referral was submitted successfully, including the referral type and your selected introduction preference.

If you chose to make a warm introduction, we will provide editable language you can use to connect FourBlock with the person or organization you referred.

2. We Review the Information

FourBlock will review the referral, check for an existing relationship and determine the appropriate internal owner.

The referral will be credited to the person, partner, chapter, market or campaign that originated the relationship.

3. We Route It to the Right Team

Referrals are routed according to the opportunity:

• Veteran or military spouse: Programs and Enrollment.

• Employer or corporate partner: Partnerships.

• Foundation, donor or sponsor: Partnerships and Development.

• Community or referral partner: The appropriate program or community leader.

• CRI, coach, mentor, speaker or volunteer: The appropriate program or community team.

• Strategic partner: Executive Leadership or Partnerships.

• Other or unsure: A central FourBlock team member will review and assign it.

You do not need to know the correct internal contact before making a referral.

4. We Make the Connection

Based on the preference selected, FourBlock may:

• Contact the referred person or organization directly.

• Wait for you to make an email introduction.

• Ask your FourBlock contact to help make the connection.

• Contact you before reaching out.

When appropriate, the person who already holds the relationship may remain involved in the initial conversation.

5. We Track the Outcome

The referral will remain connected to its original source as it moves through the FourBlock process. This allows us to understand how trusted relationships generate participants, employers, coaches, volunteers, funders and strategic partnerships.

FourBlock may provide the referrer with appropriate progress updates, but we will not share private or confidential information.

Who can make a referral?

Anyone may make a referral, including FourBlock partners, alumni, chapter leaders, CRIs, coaches, volunteers, employers, community members and staff.

You may also refer yourself.

Who can I refer?

You may refer:

• A veteran or military spouse.

• An employer or corporate partner.

• A community or participant-referral partner.

• A CRI, coach, mentor, speaker or volunteer.

• A foundation, donor or sponsor.

• A strategic partner.

• Another mission-aligned person or organization.

If you are unsure which category applies, select Other or Not Sure.

Do I need permission before referring someone?

Whenever possible, please confirm that the person is comfortable being introduced to FourBlock.

The form will ask whether the person has agreed to be contacted and how you would like the introduction to happen.

Will FourBlock contact the person directly?

That depends on the introduction preference you select. You may ask FourBlock to contact them, make the introduction yourself, involve your FourBlock contact or request that FourBlock speak with you first.

Can I make a warm introduction?

Yes. If you select an email introduction, the confirmation page will provide editable language you can use.

A warm introduction is encouraged when you already have a trusted relationship with the person or organization.

What if someone tells me about an opportunity but does not want to complete the form?

A FourBlock team member may submit the referral on their behalf.

Someone should submit the referral before the first substantive conversation whenever possible so the opportunity can be attributed, routed and tracked correctly.

What happens if FourBlock already knows the person or organization?

FourBlock will check for existing contact records, relationships and internal owners before assigning the referral.

The new referral and its source will still be recorded without disrupting an established relationship unnecessarily.

Who receives credit for the referral?

FourBlock will preserve the person who originated the relationship along with any associated partner, chapter, program, market, staff member or campaign.

Referral credit recognizes where the opportunity originated; it does not create separate ownership of the lead.

Will I remain involved after making the referral?

When appropriate, yes. FourBlock wants to protect the relational nature of the introduction.

You may remain involved in the initial conversation, provide context or help introduce the appropriate FourBlock team member.

Does referring a veteran or military spouse enroll them in a program?

No. The referral creates the initial connection with FourBlock. The referred person must still complete the appropriate CRP or MSCRP application and enrollment process.

What happens with employer or partnership referrals?

The appropriate FourBlock team will conduct discovery, evaluate the opportunity and determine the next step.

Local or existing relationship holders may remain involved, but the Partnerships team must participate before formal pricing, proposals, contracting or closing.

How will FourBlock use the information I provide?

FourBlock will use the information to evaluate the referral, identify the appropriate internal team, make the requested connection and track the resulting outcome.

How will FourBlock protect the referred person’s privacy?

Information will be treated with care and used only for appropriate FourBlock follow-up and relationship management.

Referrers may receive general updates, but FourBlock will not disclose confidential program, employment, personal or partnership information.

Will I receive an update?

You will receive confirmation when the referral is submitted. FourBlock may also provide reasonable progress updates when appropriate, without sharing confidential information.

What if I need to add information after submitting?

Reply to your confirmation message or contact your FourBlock relationship owner with the additional context. Please include the referred person or organization’s name so the information can be connected to the correct referral.

Can I make more than one referral?

Yes. After submitting, you can return to the Referral Center and make another introduction.
