After 25 years of service in the Marine Corps, Hee-Won Yoon entered his next chapter with a focus on applying his leadership experience to solve complex challenges in the civilian workforce.
Today, Hee-Won serves as Director, Enterprise Business Resiliency at PenFed Credit Union, where he is transforming the organization’s resiliency program into a gold-standard model within the credit union financial services industry. Since joining PenFed in 2022, he has rebuilt the program from the ground up and doubled the size of his team.
During his own transition journey, Hee-Won chose FourBlock because of the opportunity to engage directly with employers, build professional skills, and develop meaningful connections.
“FourBlock provided so much value for me that I decided to pay it forward,” Hee-Won shared.
Today, he continues to give back as a FourBlock Career Readiness Instructor for the Mid-Atlantic Virtual cohort, a host company lead representing PenFed Credit Union, and an active mentor within the FourBlock community.
His advice for the next generation of veterans?
“Come join FourBlock for direct corporate exposure, skills development, and networking and support. Then put in the work by completing all assignments, ask the right questions, and create meaningful relationships while maintaining patience and humility.”
Hee-Won’s journey represents the full cycle of FourBlock impact — from transitioning service member, to successful executive, to mentor helping the next generation of military talent build their own path forward.
